Hashem Dezhbakhsh - Chairman of The Advisory Board
Dr. Hashem Dezhbakhsh is a professor of economics at Emory University. He assists the Genoil team in the preparation of economic modeling for presentation to major oil companies and port operators. Dr Dezhbakhsh has considerable administrative and managerial skills having served as economics department chair, interim dean of business school, and director of undergraduate and graduate programs.
Professor Dezhbakhsh received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Ohio State University. His expertise is in applied econometrics, economic forecasting, economics of crime, financial economics, applied microeconomics, and the oil industry. He has taught at Emory University, Ohio State University, Purdue University, University of Cape Town, and American University of Sharja in the U.A.E. He has also taught courses in doctoral, bachelors, masters, and executive MBA programs.
Dr. Dezhbakhsh’s articles have appeared in leading economics journals, and his research has been cited in Newsweek, USA Today, Economist, New York Times, Chicago Sun-Times, Houston Chronicle, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Boston Globe, Australian, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Chronicle of Higher Education, National Journal, American Outlook, Weekly Standard, and National Review among others.
Dr. Dezhbakhsh is the recipient of several awards including Cuttino Award for Excellence in Mentorship, Emory University’s Williams Distinguished Teaching Award, Ohio State University’s Outstanding Teaching Award, and Sigma Nu Fraternity’s Favorite Faculty Award and Phi Beta Kappa recognition for excellent teaching.
Dr. Dezhbakhsh has appeared as an expert on many radio talk shows including NPR as well as on CNN, FOX News Channel, and ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX affiliates in Atlanta. He has worked as an economic consultant for GAO, Carter Center, R.J. Reynolds, Pfizer, Drug Emporium, and Regional Bell Operating Companies.
Dr. Dezhbakhsh will advise Genoil on the costing and profitability models for its products and in their marketing around the world.
