Petoleum Demand Grows & Genoil Has The Complete Solution:

The lack of ability to find enough light oil to replace depleted light oil reserves has caused a monumental shift in the future of oil production. Combined with soaring worldwide demand, the oil world is facing an unprecedented change in production to medium and heavy crude oil. The world is beginning to run on heavier crude oils. Genoil is the solution.

2010 projected petroleum demand is 86.6 million bpd, an increase of 1.9 million bpd year-on-year, and 87.9 million bpd in 2011. It is estimated that the growth in crude supplies will continue to 95 mbpd in 2020.  The recent rebound of crude prices has generated interest in oil fields previously deemed uneconomical. It obvious that the increasing supply can only be found in non traditional sources, the most common being Arab Heavy. These supplies have not been exploited because there was no need to do so. But due to the demand that is increasing every day, the heavy oil is starting to now come online.

There are many different ways to upgrade or treat heavy oil. But no technology can match the GHU innovations. The GHU requires no outside sources of hydrogen or natural gas. Our competition does, and because of the fact that most heavy deposits are located in places where there is no supply of natural gas or hydrogen, Genoil is the only solution. The Genoil GHU does not detract from the original product. One barrel going in comes out as more than a barrel. Our process actually increases the amount of oil, and drastically decreases the carbon ratio. GHU is the leading Carbon Reduction technology in the world today.

Canadian Heavy Oil Resources:

The western Canadian Sedimentary Basin contains up to 30 billion barrels of heavy oil. Two thirds of these resources, 19 billion barrels, are located in the heavy oil reservoirs of Lloydminster. Therefore the Lloydminster area has a strategic importance for the energy secotor in Canada as heavy oil production accounts for almost 20% of the total Canadian oil production. The Lloydminster reservoirs have relatively clean fine sand unconsolidated bodies with perosities ranging from 29-35%. The Environmental Advantage:

No technology can remove sulfur from the crude oil as economically as the GHU while at the same time drastically reducing carbon. With 99.5% desulfurization rate, the GHU achieves unparalleled sulfur removal as much as 75% less than it's competitors cost. Since petroleum often contains sulfur compounds and high amounts of carbon, their combustion generates sulfur dioxide unless the sulfur compounds are removed before combustion. Acid rain caused by the emission of compounds of ammonium, carbon, nitrogen, and sulfur which react with the water molecules in the atmosphere to produce acids. Governments around the world are desperately looking for inexpensive ways to reduce the sulfur dioxide emitted into the atmosphere. With the growth of India & China industrialized acid rain is becoming a larger global problem. 

Worldwide Sulfur Regulatory Trends; Heading to "Zero":

USA Sulfur Regulation:

  • Was established to prevent SOx emissions from fuel combustion.
  • On road diesel is regulated at 15 ppm sulfur.
  • Gasoline is regulated at 30 ppm.
  • Off road diesel and heating oil 15ppm by 2011.
  • USA Marine and locomotive diesel 500ppm.

European Union Sulfur Regulation:

  • Diesel 50 ppm as of 2005 (Euro IV).
  • Diesel 10 ppm by 2010 (Euro V).
  • In 2003 Germany imposed sulfur free tax incentive of .015 Euro.

Swedish Sulfur Regulation:

  • In 1990 diesel with 50 ppm was made available.
  • 1992 production of 2-5ppm diesel begins.
  • Tax incentives are offered for low sulfur diesel.
  • 2003 "zero" sulfur and low aromatic content (less than 1%) diesel fuel has been made available and branded EcoPar. Used for confined spaces and working environments that are highly polluted such as harbors, inside storage houses, in rail tunnel construction, and city centers etc.

Central & Eastern Europe:

  • By 2008 most E.U. candidates must conform to 10 ppm or less sulfur. 
  • Most have adhered to less than 50 ppm since 2005.

Pipelines must lower their sulfur specifications.
